Ten, re: So what about the charge that Bush actively deposed Aristide? Inaction is one thing, but this is another. He "actively" didn't support him. Then you've got this "Cheney Says Aristide Had Worn Out Welcome", a hell of a thing to say about a democratically elected leader (I could say the same thing about...). The argument is that we didn't support the democracy that we were instrumental in putting in place. If we wanted to support the first democratically elected leader of Haiti, we could have done it with virtually no effort. But democracy, in this case, didn't seem important to the administration, "Aristide had worn out his welcome". So now that the democracy has been overthrown, we'll see what happens next. It's an interesting contrast to Iraq. John
