I could not agree less with this statement. I've been following the coverage of the Haiti fraud at Democracy NOW!

and comparing it to the completely fraudulent coverage at CNN, Fox and the other mainstream outlets. Only one conclusion is possible. The mainstream media is now acting entirely as a propaganda arm for the Bush Regime. No other conclusion is possible.

Why are you so sure that Aristide is telling the truth? What does Haiti have that would prompt us to destabilize the country? Logic would tell you they have nothing and Bush's hands are so tied up with Iraq and his re-election that he doesn't need a Haiti problem. And I hope you didn't miss that Aristide was all packed and ready to go.

As for Aristide being kidnapped, they should have left him. He would have been dead within the week. The idea that he might have pulled a rabbit from his hat and stopped the rebellion is ludicrous.

As for the mainstream press, I think they are doing just fine......esp. print media. There is no one more adamant about getting Bush out of the WH than I. However, to find fault for the sake of finding fault is the worse possible strategy to use at this point. There are still a lot of people who are sitting on the fence. To come out growling and snarling like a rabid dog will only make them uncomfortable. We need to have our facts lined up and validated before going on the attack. The momentum is on our side and we need to keep it there.
