Interesting Technical Article on Large Optical Switches Optical switches move carriers closer to central IP routing By Eyal Shekel, Chiaro Networks EE Times Feb 24, 2004 commsdesign.com This is part of the electronicausa.com Embedded Systems Conference, coming the end of March. We have talked about putting these kinds of giant optical switches at the center of the network (running IP over DWDM) on this thread in the past.
