hmaly, RE: "Our oil policy, runs counter to our support of Israel, if anything."

I agree. But not everyone sees it this way. Glad you do.

RE: "Im beginning to think you are on drugs"

No need to be attacking here. I never attack you.

RE: "The US hasn't been so presumptious to assume;(as you are trying to say now);that they knew better than the Israelis, themselves, what was best for them."

On this point, would tend to disagree with you. I tend to believe what the hightech folks in Israeli say, over what a USA policemaker might say, when it comes to matters of Israel.

RE: " What a truly insightful position. Personally, I think you ought to notify Kerry, so he can have it inserted in the Democratic plank, when he gets nominated."

Am of the impression Kerry's policy with Israel is no different than Bush, so do not expect to see any improvement on this item when Kerry gets the office.

RE: "The simple truth is, life in the ME is far more complicated than providing a few jobs"

I prefer to believe what my contacts in Israeli said - they said the people engaged in terrorism were the unemployed. In fact, they could point to the area and one could even see them. However, fast forward a couple of years, where now there is so much violence, that at this point, they aren't sure how the problem is going to be fixed.

RE: "Did you ever stop to consider, most investors, won't invest in Palestine"

What investors do is invest in Israel and then the Palestinians go to work in Israel. Apparently, the factory workers in Israel tend to be Palestinians -- it's a two-tiered system (that part isn't good, and should be fixed), but at least it's a venue for unemployed people to at least get some job. Companies like V/S get their cotton from Israel, probably the factory workers are Palestinians.

RE: "Get rid of the violence first, then there is hope, for the jobs."

But they aren't getting rid of the violence, which is what the comment "dipping them in oil" was precisely about, where the country is being piecewise attacked (where they have no hope for jobs) without any goal of overtaking the country to rebuild it into something better, or without any goal of addressing underlining issues (settlements, unemployment). At least with Germany, the USA rebuilt it from scratch and that gave Germans hope for jobs.

RE: " The simple truth is that Palestine is what it is; because, the rest of the Arab nations, are paying the terrorists, in Palestine, to do their dirty work for them, which is get rid of Israel."

People don't take blood money, when there are better sources of income, such as jobs. Statistically, only desperate people do desperate things.

Regards,
Amy J
