the market has bitchslapped Greenspan and sent him to the corner. EUR had lifetime largest plunge against USD the day of his dollar-bashing speech. Greenspan does NOT control the value of the dollar. at the margin, at the blade, at the shank, at the tang, and of course at the handle, USD value is controlled by foreign CBs and speculators. and of course CBs have more ammo than specs as BOJ has shown...
