To anyone running AVG AntiVirus that is having trouble with downloading updates. I got this info from a security forum. Apparently there was a corrupt download a couple of days ago that prevents further updates. Here's what was posted on the forum and it fixed the problem on my machine. Copy and paste the info below starting with [server and ending with URL=3 into notepad and save it as url.ini on your desktop.

Go to C/program files/grisoft (or to wherever you installed AVG) and rename the current url.ini file to url.iniold or something similar. Now place the new file created from the info below and drag it into your Grisoft folder. Open AVG and click update. Change the download from server box to the grisoft.com and you should be back in business.
