Robert Fisk should do a little homework on Iraq....those tribes (Shias and Sunnis to name a few) have been warring for centuries. For the past 30 years it had been suppressed. This has the same dynamics as after Yugoslavia dissolved...all the old emnities rose to the surface again and all hell broke loose. What makes this worse, and more complicated is the outside interests, Al Qa'ida or Iraqi expats all stirring the pot. I forget who forecasted that the Iraqis would be "cheering in the streets once they were liberated". It a dangerous situation for the soldiers who are stationed there and for the people who live there. Altair19 p.s.
