Brent,
This may sound odd but I can't remember where I learned about
charting and actually I don't chart stocks using the conventional
charting techniques. Every time I tried to use trendlines as you're
supposed to they just didn't work for me. Then I read about a fellow
by the name of William Gann. He was a trader in the 20's and 30's
who was highly regarded at the time. He used what's now called a
Gann Box to provide support and resistance lines. Once I drew one of these things the charts finally started to make sense. If you do
a internet search for William Gann I think you'll find all you need.
