Elmat,

I have lived long enough to remember the words "Irrational Exuberance".... Words can be damaging, especially when out of character from the Easy Uncle Al we've all grown fond of. I fear that the war of words is escalating, and that if Bush were to have his way and China were to float, much dynamism would result-- the likes of which I am not accustom to playing with.

Many is the day that the same pair of size 14 wingtips that were climbing on my keester to get in the door were stepping on my face on the way out. Speculative runs on various currencies at the moment could cause havoc with the political dynamic. As such, I am looking to vacate the leveraged markets for a short time.

Maybe next week? Depends on the numbers friday, but something tells me they'll be middle of the road, slightly positive, but fudged just so that the data doesn't look too negative. I fear we may muddle along like this for a couple more months. If they are on either side of flat, I would rather be a little late to the party, than to find out the attendees are all cannibals and I'm the guest of honor.
