I agree. If I had more time then, I might have said something like this, but probably not as well as you did...

What's it worth to find out details of life on Mars, info about what happened to its climate change in the past, etc.? No one knows - but all could be very important.

And - we won't find out if we just stay over here on this rock.

I can imagine the first caveman: "Ugh. Don't go outside. Cold. Stay here by fire....(in caveman, of course...)
