Bob,

Thanks for the great link!

techstocks.com

The corporate down grades mentioned got me thinking. Without no effort I came up with a half dozen debt related problems that have manifested themselves in the last few weeks. Here's a few recent ones off the top of my head. I'll bet that within an hour this group could triple this list. What is going on out there? These are supposed to be the best of times. Perhaps this may be the answer to my earlier post today (what kind of bear). I need to think about this a little more.

- 22% of the AA companies get their rating downgraded (see Bob's link)
- personal bankruptcies hit a new record of 1.2 million.
- Korean Banks got downgraded big time two weeks ago.
- Japanese Banks same story.
- A whole bunch of smaller tigers Thialand, Indonesia, etc. suffer the same fate.
- Keyna is in such a mess that even the IMF won't help until they clean up first.
- Brazils gold call writing activity could easily flush them down the toilet if Gold moves against them. Why are countries playing around with this sort of thing?
- NJ just borrowed 2.8 billion so that they could join the never ending stock market climb. I wonder if they got in before Friday? West VA liked the NJ strategy so much that they are planning as special election so that they can join in on the fun.

I'll also bet that the corporate scam list would also be a mile long. My favorite used to be capitalized vapor, but, Burke's borrow money to buy call options has just moved up to first place.
