There is no evidence the internet bubble caused a recession. It caused major problems, especially for the market, but that would have recovered. The Bush recession started in March 2001, he did not inherit a recession as he likes to say. The energy crisis also helped push the economy down. That "crisis" is now known to be massive fraud conducted by Bushie energy companies led by Enron and their cover-up man Ed Gillespie.
