I guess he was hoping that we would put down the rebels. What he didn't think through is that we don't have the manpower for that kind of an operation. We could do it if it was in our interest but there isn't much point in fighting to keep someone like Aristide in power. There would be no benefit to the US and probably none to Haiti. Tim
