It's taken over 3 months to get up in 8-10 stores. Painfully slow! Talk about understatements. The Sony's and Philips boxes are in maybe a couple of thousand Circuit City, Best Buy and whomever else stores. Plus they're boxes have been marketted through nationally televised infomercials, on Homeshopping, and yes, via a multilevel firm. And folks, those Sony's and Philip boxes are selling by the hundreds daily. So here's Curtis Mathes going through this rigamarol roll-out which is taking forever to get a couple of stores up a week so as "not make the same mistakes Webtv made." That's all good and dandy, but the bottom line is that (1) marketshare is being lost, (2) Diba, RCA and whoever will have their boxes out and distributed nationally well before CM does going at this snails pace, and (3) little revenue intake = full utilization of creditline + big dilution for shareholders. Yeah, I probably sound bearish, but I own a sh't load of this stock and expected this product to be in a heck of a lot more stores by now. Lets face it folks, this stock's price isn't going anywhere north until there's fundamentals to carry it. That means sales and revenues to report. I've said it before and I'll say it again. They've got to get this moving faster. As Joe Barker indicated, at the pace of getting 2 stores a week online, CM will have uniViews for sale in maybe 30 stores nationally by Xmas. And that ain't going to cut it. |
