(TMWD), a leading provider of secure Internet messaging software for businesses, financial services organizations and government agencies, announced today that Perot Systems Corporation, a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions, has implemented the Tumbleweed Email Firewall(TM) to deliver anti-spam services to its enterprise customers.
As part of its comprehensive set of End User Computing service offerings, Perot Systems provides email management to many of their customers, and currently handles more than 300,000 email boxes for a number of large enterprise clients. Perot Systems has been using Tumbleweed's email firewall since 2002 to deliver anti-virus scanning and content filtering to clients. Over the past 12 months, many of these clients experienced drastically increasing volumes of spam email, and Perot Systems wanted to find an automated, scalable solution to the problem.
