Ted, SUVs pollute the air and use up valuable fossil fuels, impacting not just the people who drive them but everyone. Masturbation and homosexuality are personal expressions that impact no one other than the persons involved.

If a local girl scout troop endorsed the notion that SUVs were actually beneficial to the environment, you'd probably want to boycott them as well.

Listen to you........can't you see how ridiculous that sounds? You think I'm going to boycott the girl scouts because they like SUVs? I don't think so!

As for masturbation, homosexuality, and other such topics, some think Planned Parenthood is actually destroying the moral fabric of this society.

Why can't the priss pots go on and on about their upscale mores and leave the Planned Parenthood to their's? Really, why are they always trying to impose their morality on the rest of us?

Of course you're going to disagree, maybe even think of those parents as kooks, but why is your view any more significant than theirs?

You never answer my questions? Why do they send their kids to the conference if they disagree with its presentation?

What's up with you? Just a few short months ago, you professed to be an environmentalist. Now, you complain nearly once a week about environmentalists and their hate for SUVs. That coming from someone who now lives in OC.

Since when did I ever profess to be an "environmentalist"? If anything, I believe in caring for the environment, but I'm not an "environmentalist." (Kind of like most women believing in feminist causes, but not calling themselves "feminists.")

Whatever! In one of your past posts, you gave a strong impression of being an environmentalist. Foolish me for buying into neocon BS. <g>

I only brought up the environment because I knew it was a cause you strongly believe in. Now imagine for just a second that some parents in Texas feel that strongly about moral issues like sexuality.

I wish I could see the analogy but I don't.

But let me give you an analogy. I get real annoyed with the holier than thou attitude of many Southern Baptists. In fact, it sends me over the top. Guess what? I stay away from TX and other states with large concentrations of S. Baptists and I don't read their tracts. When occasionally one of them strays into my neck of the woods, I keep my distance.

I don't like them but they have a right to believe their BS and wallow in it as much as they want.
