Thanks Glenn. If next week turns into something like July '96, I want to be in a position to be able to load the cart. In July '96 I was on vacation and 100% invested in stocks, so I was helpless to capitalize on the downdraft. The thing that's great about corrections is that sometimes high-quality, very strong stocks get cut back to a bargain price, from which they will snap right back once the selling settles out.

The really strong stocks haven't really lost much yet, and it remains to be seen if they will come down or not. QNTM is still near it's high. Ditto for COMS, DELL, and CPQ. INTC is only 5% off it's high. So this is nothing at all compared to the networking bloodbath this spring, or July '96. So if I was holding stocks now, I wouldn't have much for losses yet (except CHKPF, that's took a tumble). But in options, even if the stock stays flat I lose money (time value). And then I had some Aug expiry's which was indeed correct to bail out of when I did.

Good luck,

DK
