Think your talking about katie couric and karen hughes this morning and when he is there matt lauer is even worse. Softballs for dems and hardball with reps.
Bush ads paint a picture of what he faced when he took office:
1. a country in the beginning of a dot com bust
2. a country where corruption in business had grown in the 90s with the likes of enron, adelphia and wcom
3. a country who had its head in the sand(clinton, bush,dems, reps, you and me all included) about the terror threat to the homeland.
4. 9/11 comes and
a. we are at war
b. the economy takes a huge hit when we are already in recession.
c. psychological hit on US lasts for a year
5. Bush rises to the occasion as:
a. low interest rates
b. lower taxes even at the risk of higher deficits
c. afganistan and iraq

Conclusion. Yes there are bumps in the road along the way and this admin has had its share of mistakes. But they took difficult stands with great risk and guess what--we are winning the war on terror and we prevented a deflation led depression a la the 1930s. And all the dems can yell about are balanced budgets and partnering with euros and UN who werent willing to do that. This is why i vote for bush regardless of the social issues. With bush we can fight those issues another day but with Kerry, if his history continues, we will lose the war on terror or retreat and cut deals with the bad guys. Difficult decisions just wont me made. Of course some feel kerry freed of massechusets might surprise if elected. If he is elected I prey that i can eat crow. mike
