It's not just Iraqis who are killing our young military people. There is an enemy within too. Just received this from my wife's cousin: Wow, you won’t believe what has happened… My former stepson, Robby (I always called him the “stepchild from Hell”), was shot down and killed on a street in Miami this week. He was supposed to go into Navy Boot Camp on Monday and there was going to be a party later that night for him and his girlfriend (whose birthday it also was). Robby had left to go buy her a birthday present and was jumped by a bunch of young African Americans who wanted his $30 and his watch. He fought back, then ran – and a 16 year old kid shot him in the back through the heart. He died instantly. Poor Ronnie! I don’t know if you remember this, but his first son drowned when he was 4 years old. I don’t know he can stand it – Robby was only 24… Anyway, I have been feeling pretty bummed out for Ronnie (and Robby) all week. I mean, just because he was a pain as a kid doesn’t mean he deserved to get shot down at 24 years old – a victim of laziness and greed. I just wanted to share, I can’t even remember if you ever met him, but you know what a complicated relationship can exist between a woman and her stepchild. I’m happy that your stepson is on his way to his new future and so sad that Robby was robbed of his… P.S. This is not meant to be racist at all, there are bad people of all races, this time it just happened to be African Americans perpetrating the crime.
