Just a couple things to add to your comments (and then we better go back to the Iomega thread and let some SyQuest bulls post here. <G>):

The "distribution difficulties" were this: They couldn't get some of their vendors to ship product to them because the vendors wanted cash. They are still on a COD basis with many of their vendors. This was called "distribution difficulties" in the 10-Q. Read that part of the 10-Q carefully and this becomes painfully obvious.

I'll agree that Iomega is considerably larger than SyQuest, but I think it's fair to say that SyQuest stands out from the rest of Iomega's competitors. They are the largest, most firmly entrenched, and most widely recognized of Iomega's competitors. It might be true that Avatar and the LS-120 consortium are gaining on SyQuest, though.
