a19: Great to hear from you...Congrats on the new baby grandchild...

Lincoln Park is an amazing place -- I was just over there before my ski trip out to Utah....I plan to get back over to Chicago in the next 2 weeks. Right now the project in Michigan is keeping me quite busy.

I could relate to your comments...

<<...I've already started to do some Kerry support work in our town and and having fun brawling with my Republican friends. The one thing I did find was that my arguments aren't as sharp as they should be but that will be easy to hone. The "Bush ain't that smart" card only works with Andover and Yale guys who actually knew him <g>...>>

My youngest uncle went to Yale with Bush and has said that he wasn't that smart OR that motivated...My uncle is a pulmonologist in San Francisco and does asthma research and teaches residents (at the VA and at UCSF). He is convinced that GW Bush is the worst president we have had in his lifetime - and he is closing in on 60.

Don't worry about the Dems being behind in fund raising...There are MANY folks that are motivated to defeat Bush and I expect some of the progressive PACs to raise tens of millions in record time...The billionaire George Soros has already donated millions to groups like MoveOn.org and he claims that defeating Bush is his #1 goal in 2004...Last time I checked Soros was worth north of $7 Billion....Yet, money won't guarantee anything...The Kerry campaign will have to fight harder AND smarter.
