You are incorrect. You say it is "odd that that article refers to Glenn only as a "former astronaut," and fails to mention for the benefit of anyone who doesn't know that he also is a partisan Democrat Senator"

And yet the article says: "Glenn, a retired Democratic senator from Ohio and the first U.S. astronaut to orbit the Earth, ...".

If your criticism is of the portion I clipped; I frequently just cut a portion of the article and provide the link to the story (mostly I try to follow the TOU at SI). You will notice I placed a <more in article> to indicate the story continued at the linked article.

All you had to do was click on the link. Go back and try it ... it works.
