Enough of America is wakening to the danger of religious fanaticism that Bush seems to be grasping defeat from the jaws of victory. This deflection from the real issues may very well backfire, but who knows. As much as America supported the President from 9/11, there is a point of stretching freedoms beyond which the populace will rebel, or at least will kick out what is perceived as extreme views. I think Bush is making a huge mistake by putting the spotlight on extremist type social issues. It would be like Kerry kissing Chirac in a commercial or claiming that capturing Saddam was a mistake. For those of us in the middle, it's starting to get very interesting.

I like the idea of the "million moron march." I think we have at least a start if we can get some SI posters on the march. <ggggg>

Stern has about 15-20 million listeners. Believe it or not, I've spoken to many people who are now seriously thinking about voting for Kerry merely because of Stern's switch from support of Bush. It could get very interesting.
