I just look at the data -- the majority of the world's CMM 5 level software firms are now in India. There are more software engineers in Bangalore than in Silicon Valley. We are in the early stages of this process of globalization of technology industries, but the pace of change and the current situation seem far beyond what you have stated. Are we doomed as a result? Hell no. But so long as we cannot get our priorities straight, we are headed in the wrong direction.
