Pat, I am a complete newcomer to the Amati thread and have a favor to ask. Would you folks take a few minutes to "make the case" for AMTX? The technology seems spot on, but I have seen almost no discussion of the quality of management (confess to not having read more than 1/4 of the posts at best.) As a Qualcomm long, I can attest to the joy of holding stock in a company whose technology is not only flatly the best but patented every which way from Sunday--then they get to go play with Motorola, Ericsson, Nokia, Northern Telecom, Lucent and other minor firms. Therefore, I would be most appreciative if you guys could let me know who is leading the charge at AMTX and what your assessment of the competition is. Sounds like AMTX is in the ring with a number of aggressive start-ups and one or two of the big guys like TXN, but maybe I'm all wet. I would also like to invite you to visit the Fiberspace Investing thread--I intend to post there and ask basically the same questions but I'm surprised that AMTX hasn't been discussed there previously. Finally, what in the world is all this SI censorship stuff--what's the history on this thread? Sounds like Al Capone and some psychotic EE's had to be run out of Dodge. Sorry I missed the action, must have been fun. thank you, Mike Doyle
