>>He can use his appearance on 9/11 and thereafter, footage from Afhganistan and Iraq, etc. He looked very presidential at the time.

But using footage of the attack itself is, imo, fear mongering.<<

Redfish,
Our decision who can best defend the homeland from terrorism is indeed one of the crucial issues that will determine election outcome. As I've said more than once, we're between a rock & a hard place. It will come down to whether the majority of Americans put more importance on homeland security or crossing our fingers with hope that a Pres Kerry will enforce fair trade rules that Bush Adm has chosen to ignore.

Last night a woman even criticized the circumstances where GWB was found when he received word of WTC attack. She said "the fact he was reading to school children shows his incompetence which allowed the attack to happen". I found that remark outrageous because it was the absolutely best place to find a President....reading to the country's next generation. Sept 11 forced GWB to adjust his planned education reform first priority in order to fight the war on terror, and that was 2nd only to lives lost as the most tragic result of the attack.
