I strongly disagree with your depression scenario as I explained in my post -- a depression means a strongly inverted yield curve, so if short rates are 3, long rates will be less than three, so housing continues humming, so no depression.

I fully agree that Greenspan will never do it suddenly, and you will have plenty of time to get out of your trades.
