Ted, I think Ten and I share a few of the same values and Ten lives on the West Coast........and is originally from Boston. He has had some heavy liberal influences in his life......that's why he's not all bad! <g> More importantly, he is willing to compromise on some issues. That's more than I can say for many conservatives! I'm not from Boston. And given what a liberal stronghold that city has turned into, I'm not sure I'd want to live there, either, unless I went there for a PhD or something. As for compromise, remember that you're talking to a former liberal, so if anything, I know where liberals are coming from and why they might consider conservatives as heartless, selfish, greedy bastards.
