Ted, Why would you spend $10 MM on campaign adds that piss a lot of people off? I think that's the most important question.

Think about who is being "pissed off" in this case:

story.news.yahoo.com

The latest anti-Bush volleys came at a news conference held by September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows. Other victims' relatives said that group was politicizing the issue and had its own political agenda.

The pacifist group opposed the wars in Afghanistan (news - web sites) and Iraq (news - web sites) and declares on its Web site, "War is not the answer." And in February, before the latest Bush ads, the group wrote to the president saying, "We ask you to stop exploiting the tragedy of September 11 for political gain."

I can understand the opposition to the war in Iraq, but Afghanistan?
