Intellectually, I think Wolfowitz is Bush's preppy spankmaster, while Perle is his dark-eyed punisher. The only thing actually keeping Bush up to speed amongst the forced intellectual warmongers is that Rove keeps telling Bush to just talk up freedom, while remembering the passion of someone who once treated Bush kindly--just to get the emotion. Meanwhile, Cheney's boys rake it in! That's sorta how it is in a nutshell.

Oh, yeah--Rumsfeld. He just sorta explains it all.

Powell, much though he'd wish it were different, is just sorta hanging in there deluded with the notion that he's holding them back from something. Something he can't get out of.
