Yes, that fatwa was issued. But what do you know of Osama Bin Laden, really? His family, after all, made their first investment in George Bush in 1974, in a "money for access" deal. The Bin Ladens were investors in the military-industrial complex's most controversial company, the Carlyle Group, until the events of 9/11 made that too embarrassing to continue.

And Osama Bin Laden was a direct recipient of CIA assistance in the mujahideen struggles in Afghanistan in the 1980s.

There's enough murky connections between Osama Bin Laden, the Bush Family and the CIA to readily raise my eyebrow and have me asking, "what's behind the seventh veil?"
