A story for you all:

When George W. Bush became President, he already knew everything. But, when he met Bill Clinton, he decided to be polite, and Bush said: “Hey Bubba” (Bush likes nicknames), “Hey Bubba, do you have any advice for me?” And Clinton reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out two envelopes.

Clinton told Bush: “If you get into trouble, open the first envelope. If you get into trouble again, open the second envelope”. Of course Bush thought Bubba was crazy (and oversexed), but he took the two envelopes and tossed them into his desk.

After two and half years on the job, with his approval rating falling, the economy struggling, no WMD found in Iraq, and post war Iraq a mess, Bush remembered the envelopes. "Well, what the heck" Bush thought and he opened the first envelope. Inside was a single sheet of paper with just two words: “Blame me.”

Bush exclaimed “Boy, Oh wow!” And everywhere he went Bush said “It is Clinton’s fault”. Faulty intelligence? "Clinton's fault." No WMD? “Clinton’s fault.” Poor economy? “Clinton’s fault.” No jobs? "Clinton's fault." And for awhile, blaming Clinton seemed to work great.

But the economy continued to sputter. Iraq started looking like a civil war. The Democrats running for President started pointing out the 2.9 million jobs lost and the $500 Billion deficit. Bush’s approval rating fell below 50% for the first time.

And then Bush remembered the 2nd envelope. So Bush thought "Hey, Bubba’s advice helped the first time. Let me give him another shot". Bush went to his desk and opened the second envelope. There was a single sheet of paper inside with just three words:

“Prepare two envelopes”
