America is losing jobs because we are losing our manufacturing base and more recently our Service jobs to "offshore" labor and manufacturing relocation to countries offering lower costs through labor and incentive. The examples are too numerous to list here but a longtime abuser is "Nike" and a new abuser is "Levi".... Pacific Rim (Indonesia) is their new manufacturing base and the goods are then brought back here for sale to us dummies. The same applies to Auto manufacturing re plants in Mexico.....and it goes on and on and on...... it's called "Free Trade"......hellllloooooo NAFTA...GATT...WTO... it transcends political party lines, it is more insideous than that.... It is in my opinion...Misguided thinking and Corporate greed on a national level, it is almost "Mindset. Does anyone remember "Bussing" it didn't work either but it took the US Government 20 years to admit it and change it, it was also apolitical. The bottom line thought is "lets give the foreign masses jobs so they can become affluent and buy American products" Right...never happened.... and now the corporate greedys are continuing to move offshore to try to compete with the cheaper Asian manufacturers and take advantage of the cheaper labor rates to improve their bottom lines at our(the workers) expense. Anyway... long to short....continued unemployment, continued loss of jobs........ America has to wake up and radically modify all of our "Free Trade Agreements"........ regards
