Bush offered big payoffs to the unions to support him, starting with the Teamsters. But the unions realized they were being snookered. Kerry has stood up to the UAW and has not gotten their endorsement. As we are learning now, Kerry-McCain's fuiel efficiency bill SHOULD have been passed. It would save more oil than could be extracted from Alaska but the Bushie lobbyists killed it. They don't like conservative.

The firefighters were snubbed by Bushies who promised first responder help to the states but have delivered precious little. Their tax cuts to fat cats were more important to them.
