Although, they are raising rates like crazy now. I just got a letter from my insurance company that stated that in the last three years they paid out $1.60 in claims for every dollar of premium they collected! The punch line was a 45% increase in homeowners phased in over two years with slightly increased discounts for people like me who have multiple policies. It's time to raise those deductibles again. I hate insurance.

they did a lot better than me....i paid out approximately $1.00 in premiums for every .15 cent in benefits i collected over the past 2 years.
