I have not met Kerry but am extremely familiar with the Charles river culture. Each one of those folks can rattle off things on a wide variety of issues. Their philosophy, political or life is based on experience with and grasp of a wide expanse of variedissues extending from music, liberal arts, sciences, engineering and off course politics. They form that liberal view after that broad experience they go through during their college and school years.

Conservative views are generally based on a very narrow view of life, gun totting, swash buckling experiences. And that is why our nation is where it is today, isolated, alone and very hated by the nations who matter. I amsure Kerry and Terasa will retore the leadership position for this country. Not to say that Dean and Edwards would not have been able to do so. They are equally qualified. But of the three, the Demos had to decide on one who had the best chance of beating Bush. When Kerry becomes President, he will draw on these two to help him out whether it be making Edwards a Senate leader and Dean his point person for this country's healthcare which is very very badly needed. Will not be surprised if he taps into Colin Powell for Secretary of State and Wes Clark for Defence or vice versa.
