Rick,

Per your questions:

I cannot say for sure that the bid quantity equalled my quantity at open, but that it matched when I placed the order.
The open was @11-5/8, then to 11-3/4 and at noon had not traded below 11-1/2. Not until afternoon did it drop lower and closed @11-5/8.
Stock was high volume NASDAQ
Did not ask for an explanation, just vowed to never make that mistake again.

I have registered complaints with Schwab and have always been treated well and had satisfactory resolution. I have been looking at the other online brokers and reviewing comments on SI. From what I've seen, I will be staying with e.schwab. However, I believe they will have to lower their commission rates to keep me because are others are offering more services for lower rates.

Your comments make me think you're a trader?

Good investing,
Ron
