Besides, 9/11 happened to all of us, not just Bush.

Which is true for both sides, which is my point. 9/11 affected all of us, and we all have a right, dare I say, an obligation, to discuss it. The fact that the dems don't want to discuss it, is bewildering, because I don't think Kerry can win, unless he can satisfy the public, that he could handle another 9/11. Just as Gw will have to address the public, on the economy, Kerry will have to address his position on 9/11, the war on terror, and Iraq.

Bush isn't discussing it; he's latching his name onto the 9/11 rescue efforts......not the money appropriated for the efforts.......but rather the actual rescuing and demolition done by the men and women who risked their lives, and apparently, their health to make it happen. That's like someone trying to take personal credit for his city's ball club winning the World Series because he attended all the games.

Its those people plus the loved ones of the dead who should have been consulted before running the ads. While 9/11 happened to all of us, I don't feel the rest of us have the right to decide what's best for the people of NYC.

The horror and pain the rest of us felt that day can not compare to the excrutiating agony and fear experienced by the workers and residents of Manhattan. You would think the Bush people would know and understand that perspective since they were in DC.....also effected by the tragedy.

One last thing...........I went to school with people from NYC. The last thing you want to do is piss those people off. Bush has a convention there in Sept. During that time, they could make the day-to-day doings of the GOP very unpleasant.
