I have no reason to think that Powell deliberately lied at the United Nations or that he distorted and exaggerated the intelligence on which his testimony was based.

There are still some who prefer to think their leaders are fools or easily deceived than to realize that they are just telling them falsehoods with a straight and unapologetic face. The reality is that the noecons think the public fools, who are not to be trusted with an opinion or with facts.
