ot: cry all you wish for martha, but one has to select one's battlefields, especially when one has the choice. martha chose to Lie to a Grand Jury when the feds had the proof she lied. if you are holding three aces, it is pretty hard to fold that hand.

martha had three choices: say nothing, tell the truth, or lie. even after having been caught, she could have cut a deal. somehow she thought either she had a better hand or her poker reputation could make the government fold three aces. i do not think martha got a "bad beat."
