Ru486 is recommended for use up to seven weeks after a woman's last menstrual period. Taken after that it may not cause an abortion, but will in any case cause irreversible damage to the baby.

It is only a matter of time before it is available for purchase over the net (where currently you can buy many controlled substances), so imo it makes prohibiting abortion impossible.

A woman four months along can take the pill, and then argue for a regular abortion on the basis that it is inhumane to require her to give birth to the now-damaged baby.
