I thought Rubin accepted a buyout from CitiCorp?

Yah, He did. You should see the terms of his "incentive" pay package. If he can tie his shoes he gets his "incentive" bonus, and CitiCorp gets to deduct his full salary as an expense.

This is to get around the Clinton admin "corporate reform" laws that limited the deduction of executive pay to one million dollars a year. But apparently it doesn't apply to ex-Clinton admin officials like Robert Rubin.
