Every day I query hotjobs for certain keywords as a sort of economy check. In the last week new tech openings actually went down. The market was surprised by the jobs numbers on friday but I wasn't. I doubt the naz can hold 2000 and look at today, down another 30.>>

Agreed. I was very surprised the market didnt tank friday on the lousy Jobs Data...and things dont look as peachy keen 1 qrtr into 04 as everybody was saying it would be a year ago.....if 2000 doesn't hold, it could get very ugly for naz. At the same time, these markets seem to have a mind of their own and trying to figure a direction is not as easy as it used to be..charts, TA/FA, dont tell us as much as they used to...it's simply a skitso market....I'm sitting close to 40% cash and 60% vested right now...not in any hurry to put cash to work, as like you, I really dont know what to buy right now, and sleep good about the purchase....so much is at 52 week highs, or hit their 52 week highs and are now coming back down, I just think it's a risky market to buy right now.....gotta see if 2000 holds and everyday I am less inclined to think it will......
