In fact, I agree with you. Many people are taking their children to see the extended torture in the Gibson film, though, so our view on this matter isn't shared by everyone. I even saw a priest being interviewed on TV, asked if he thought children should see that movie, decline to recommend against it, replying only that it was up to the parents to decide. Didn't want to go out on a limb with a recommendation, I guess.
