Have a look at the archives of almost any newspaper from 1980.

Or from 1962.

Or from 1946.

You'll find there are precedents.

All you have to do is look.

TGP, don't tell me, show me. In the past ten years, I have never heard someone from the upper class complain that tax cuts were hurting the nation. If it happened before the 1990s, it had to be as rare as rain in the Sahara.
