The union base for the Dems don't want to see it that way of course.

And the Dems simply don't want to know how many jobs were leaving this country in the last 20 years. MANY manufacturing jobs went away. (buggy whips, typewriters, whiteout, etc) Productivity is WAY up....about 3 times as productive as we were 20 years ago. (Robots are cheaper to use than human labor in car production, for instance)

The Dems didn't want to have us continue with space exploration. (said it was usless money spent....they wanted to do "social programs" instead--little thinking that by wiping out the space programs, we were getting rid of MANY high paying, technical jobs as well)

The Dems simply pander to the people they think are their base...and are much less than truthful while they are at it.

I sat next to someone this weekend, who was older. Hubby had a pension from the government, and she had one from a company she had worked for. Believed the BS about the "rich" should not get tax cuts. I told her a couple of things....
1) The rich aren't getting "tax cuts"...they just don't have to pay as much as they were going to have to.
2) The government (per the irs.org site) seems to consider "rich" as those making over $85,000........(most people don't want to look there...heaven forbid, they would learn something)
3) Asked her where she thought jobs were created from? Why should 'the rich' invest any of their money in a new company if there isn't any reward for doing so.
4) Mentioned to her the concept that "profit is a COST of doing business...."
