"No one believes that this document reflects perfection or embodies the ambitions of everyone"

And so it should be. A constitution is the result of a constitutional process - that is a process of compromise. No one is expected to be completely happy. If they are, the process probably hasn't worked. Sistani doesn't seem to understand how constitutional processes evolve. His call for a reversal of the part of the compromises he doesn't like, calls into question whether he will be able to keep what he (and his side) gained in the compromises. You aren't looking for the perfect in a constitutional process, but what is pragmatically acceptable. It's not clear that the mind of a religious cleric, used to dealing with absolutes of good and evil, is best suited for reaching, and then accepting political compromise.

The latest death brings to 553 the number of American service members who have died since the Iraq conflict began March 20.

Which means we have passed another grim milestone. 138 died before the infamous "Mission Accomplished" carrier strut. 4 X 138 = 552. So three times as many have died after the "boy warrior king" said "major combat operations are over". Right again, Georgie.
