To this I say- who cares. This the the US STOCK MARKET we are talking about and the overall trend is DOWN.

You said nothing would do well until the economy turns around. I disagree. The growth in cell phones, networked storage and printing/imaging will outweigh the economic trends this year. And there are plenty of US companies in those areas (MOT, QCOM, EMC, NTAP, QLGC, ELX, LXK to name a few).

And even if its the US stock market, most large US tech stocks get over half their revenues from outside the US, so there!

For example, wireless infrastructure spending is strong in Europe, and CMVT (primarily an SMS and voicemail company) gets 70% of its revenues from outside the US. It's in the S&P 500. So the US economy can go in the pisser, and CMVT is going to do just fine (and if the dollar keeps declining, their European and Asian sales and profits look even larger when stated in dollar terms).

Outsource that!
