JK will be the one who finally stands up to Big Energy and gets the job done. What I mean by un-regulated is that when the energy cartel wants to gouge and manipulate, the federal government has no authority to investigate or stop them. FERC has shown itself to be a tool of industry (especially under Bush) and the federal government doesn't even have any way to get accurate stats on oil. The Petroleum Institute is supposed to be honest and do that as a neutral non-partisan ally of government. In 2000 however they were anything but neutral and non-partisan.
