David-- Many thanks, and OH WOW!! I see you found this at CBOE--I looked all over the place there today without satisfaction. Nothing under Rulebook or the like in the index. Given that, I emailed 'em with my query. It'll be interesting to see what they say, now that we've come very close indeed to what they call a "remote possibility". How close? A shade more than two and a half points.... This policy really needs to be rethought... If anyone every thought about it seriously in the first place. It DID cross my mind, and, as I said, I asked my broker about it earlier in the day. He said he didn't know, hadn't ever occurred to him to ask... Janice
